Laurel Steinhauser

Laurel Steinhauser is a Licensed Massage Therapist and is nationally certified by NCBTMB.

Several years after completing a BA in Dance at Wesleyan University, Laurel began her massage therapy training at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York. There she was able to merge her love for anatomy and movement with her desire to help others through hands-on, healing work. At SI, Laurel studied Swedish massage as well as Shiatsu bodywork, and has developed a practice that is firmly rooted in Western anatomical theory with a nod to Eastern energetic work. She routinely incorporates trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and stretching into her work, tailoring each session to address the specific tensions and imbalances of her clients. Laurel has a passion for wellness and massage, and is committed to helping her clients reach their individual therapeutic and relaxation goals as they work towards a state of balance and well being.

Laurel is a maternity massage therapy specialist, certified in Pre- and Perinatal Massage, and provides labor support for expecting moms as a DONA trained Doula.
