Alisa is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science. She holds a certified personal trainer certification with Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, as well as a Certified Exercise Physiologist certification with the nationally accredited American College of Sports Medicine.  


Alisa has worked as a Physical Therapy Technician with Commonwealth Sports Medicine where she learned how to rehabilitate sports injuries, as well as common injuries, like car accidents. She has experience with special populations working as an intern for the Bon Secours Cardiac Rehabilitation Center. There she studied under a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and learned how to perform exercise stress tests, creating exercise prescriptions for patients who suffered heart attacks, strokes, and other forms of cardiovascular disease, and how to read and interpret heart rhythms. 


She herself started working out as a junior in college and lost over 20 pounds from simply increasing her physical activity. She then began to adopt an all-around healthier lifestyle by eating healthier, exercising regularly, and managing stress. Alisa thoroughly enjoys creating innovative, fun, and effective workout plans tailored to fit the needs of each of her clients. Not only that, but she strives to be an advocate for health and fitness for her friends, family, clients, and anyone willing to embrace a lifestyle change. She believes that it’s never too late to get in shape. Her specialties include weight management, strength and resistance, injury rehabilitation, flexibility, sport-specific, neuromuscular and proprioceptive, and aerobic training.
