Lindsey Slusser

PREMIER PERSONAL TRAINER

Fitness has to be about more than just sweating. It has to be fun, or else it won’t become a habit you can stick with.

About Lindsey

Lindsey graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science and completed her coursework towards a master’s degree in Biomechanics. Along the way, she realized that the world of sports and health research was not for her, and that her skills were better suited to work one-on-one with “real” people to help them achieve better health.

She received her certification in personal training from the American Council on Exercise in 2004, the same year she completed her education to become a licensed massage therapist, and has been employed by Pike Creek Fitness Club/ Hockessin Athletic Club ever since. She has also received her certification in personal training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a specialization in Pre/Post Natal Fitness.

Sports and exercise have always been a part of her life. She was a competitive swimmer, softball, and volleyball player through high school. She has trained for and competed in several half marathons, one full marathon, and a sprint distance triathlon, and is currently participating in the sport of motherhood with two small girls at home.

Lindsey’s philosophy on fitness and health is that it should be a fun part of your total lifestyle, and you shouldn’t feel like you are sacrificing any enjoyment of your life with your fitness routine, but rather adding to it with increased energy and vitality.
