Sydney graduated from Mercyhurst University with a B.S. in Athletic Training with a minor in Exercise Science and from East Stroudsburg University with a M.S. in Athletic Training. She is an ACSM certified personal trainer and is excited to bring her knowledge of anatomy and physiology and aquatic exercise to the club for aquatic cross training programs.

Sydney has a lifelong love for the water both in competition and in education. She competed for 12 years up to the junior national level, and has now been teaching for over 16 years. Sydney has taught a wide range of ages and skillsets, developing her swimmers both beginner and advanced through stroke refinement and competitive edge mechanics. She works hands-on to develop adaptations to limited body movements for both children and adults, as well as for those with special needs including but not limited to Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, Autism, and muscular dystrophy. Sydney not only teaches her students how to be safe in and around the water, but practices with the goal in mind to improve the overall quality of life through increased function and strength.


During her athletic training clinical rotations and graduate school, Sydney worked with the NCAA DII Men’s football, Men’s soccer championship and DIII Women’s field hockey championship teams as well as Camp Woodward extreme sports. She also previously worked for several rehabilitation clinics helping patients in pre/post-operation exercise routines.


Sydney is currently over a year into her own personal weight-loss journey and has lost over 100 lbs so far! She has learned how vital the mind and body connection and commitment to oneself is and has made it her number one priority in life. She has been fortunate to find a supportive community at HAC in the small group classes, which has led to the desire to share her love of the water in creating a new community.
